Our client a leading NSW Government Department are looking for a Risk Manager to join their team on a 6 month contract with high potential for an extension.
The role provides leadership and direction for the risk management function to ensure all project risks are proactively identified and efficiently and effectively managed across the Infrastructure and Place project lifecycle by the development of a risk management framework and associated processes, systems and tools.
The role can be located in Wollongong, Wagga or Parkes. Candidates must be regionally based.
Day to Day Duties:
Leading risk management practice in an evolving and dynamic environment where risks are constantly changing in projects/programs of different scales.
Successfully implementing an effective consistent approach to managing risk within a setting of ongoing change.
Building effective relationships to understand customer needs and requirements to deliver customer focused outcomes
Managing a diverse range of stakeholders who have different and often divergent requirements and levels of expertise
Lead in raising awareness and develop maturity of risk management practices work within project teams
Sound knowledge of project development and delivery requirements with knowledge and experience specifically related to project controls.
Proven track record in managing project risk and experience with project risk management tools
Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline such as civil engineering or project management or demonstrated equivalent, relevant professional experience.
