We are currently seeking an exceptional Regulatory Engagement Manager to join a thriving Brisbane based, financial services business, an organisation that fosters a culture of high performance and integrity. Purpose of the Role:
As the Regulatory Engagement Manager, you will be a subject matter expert responsible for providing operational support and proactive engagement with key regulators such as APRA, ASIC, ACCC, and OAIC. This role focuses on representing the organisation proactively with each regulator.

Position Accountabilities:
As the Regulatory Engagement Manager, your key responsibilities will include:
  • Supporting the Head of Regulatory Engagement in proactive engagement with regulators.
  • Assisting executive and senior management on regulatory governance matters and engagements with regulators, including recording key points, minutes, and resulting actions.
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders to develop comprehensive responses to regulators for executive approval.
  • Developing and maintaining a regulatory engagement schedule for proactive engagement with key regulators.
  • Providing support to the Head of Regulatory Engagement in tracking accountabilities and demonstrating reasonable steps taken in case of risk issues.
  • Ensuring the Group meets required submissions to regulators and overseeing the governance and attestation process for all submissions.
  • Facilitating and overseeing responses to day-to-day queries, requests, and onsite reviews by regulators.
  • Developing and preparing relevant regulatory reports and papers for Business, Executive, and Board Committees.
  • Reviewing regulatory communications for updates and potential impacts on the Group to relevant stakeholders.
  • This role closely collaborates with the Group’s compliance function, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and prudential obligations.
Qualifications and Experience: To succeed in this role, you should have:
  • At least 5 years of  financial services experience with relevant tertiary education.
  • Experience in government or regulatory relations, regulatory affairs or a similar regulator stakeholder management field.
  • Excellent communication, influencing, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to build effective relationships with senior managers and other key stakeholders.
  • Strong presentation skills, demonstrated leadership skills, and the ability to think strategically.
