Our client a Leading NSW Government Department are looking for a Business Planning  and Reporting Manager to join their team on a 6 month contract. There may be potential for the position to extend past this point.
The role is initially working form home but may move back to their Burwood office at a later stage.
 
Primary purpose of the role

The primary purpose of the role is to lead business planning, reporting and governance and high level business support functions to ensure the efficient functioning, alignment of priorities, and performance with organisational objectives and outcomes.
 
Key accountabilities
  • Lead the development of business plans, budgets and risk management plans consistent with Departments Corporate Plan, control costs, review and improve business systems and processes, and report monthly on activities, performance, trends and issues against plans and budgets
  • Work in close collaboration with the Senior Manager Commercial and other operating entities that contributes to strategic planning, policy development, and decision making.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including executive management.
  • Enhance the business performance by providing high level advice, guidance and support to the Senior Manager, Commercial and Associate Director Business Operations/Director – Service Commerciality and Insights, in strategic development and implementation of business projects and systems.
  • Contribute to the efficient management of the Division by developing, coordinating, implementing and reporting on a range of management plans and key performance indicators
  • Design and manage appropriate business planning processes and governance forums to support the achievement business objectives, policies and procedures, and business continuity plans
