The Organisation & The Role:

This role supports the timely implementation and embedment of all key initiatives being rolled out to the Customer and Corporate Relations Division as part of the Risk Excellence Program. This role is expected to support a strong risk culture that embodies ethics and integrity, balancing commercial and customer needs. 


Key Accountabilities:

  • Work closely with the Central Project team to understand the key transformation agenda that might impact the Division; understand the Divisional deliverables are and deliver them on time with high quality.

  • Work closely with the Change and Communication team to ensure any changes coming out of the Program is appropriately communicated to the business lines.

  • Support and facilitate workshops and provide impact assessment to the business lines highlighting the key activities coming out of the Program.

  • Attending Program meetings, provide challenge and review where required and cascade key messages back to the relevant teams.

  • As a key Line 1 Risk resource, contribute to ensuring the divisional and business operational risk management practices align to the frameworks, policies, risk strategy, regulatory obligations, and appetite of the Group.

  • Support the business to drive a strong risk culture and awareness and work closely with other Risk Leads to assist in risk profile refresh, update Divisional risk dashboards and provide general JUNO support.

  • Provide inputs into ad-hoc projects linked to initiatives around Privacy, Records Management, uplift in control environment and general management of issues and incidents.


Skills & Requirements:

  • 3-4 years of Operational Risk Management, Legal or Compliance experience. preferably in Financial Services.

  • Experience of working in a big transformation project, ideally regulatory/ risk related.

  • Ability to communicate clearly and create concise, value-add packs for key stakeholders.

  • Working knowledge of JUNO and Cognos Reporting, plus strong Excel and PowerPoint skills.

  • Understanding of the various risk types and the control environment to manage them.
