We are currently recruiting for a Snr Internal Audit level vacancy within an established mid-tier chartered firm based in Sydney, NSW. This newly created position offers great flexibility and hybrid working arrangements for those professionals eager to add value whilst maintain a healthy work-life balance.

This position is within the Government Services division of the business, thus it will focus on end-to-end internal audits (operational risk, regulatory and compliance audits), controls assurance and efficiency improvement across state and local government. This will be a hands-on, client-facing position that may incorporate occasional travel from time to time.
The successful incumbent for this position will be a seasoned professional with prior audit or risk assurance exposure gained within the Australian government sector; accompanied with a solution-focused mindset as well as the ability to manage multiple projects, influence stakeholders and foster lasting relationships.

Qualifications & Experience Required:
  • Qualified or part qualified CA / CPA / ACCA / CIA OR Degree with 3+ years' Internal Audit experience in industry or chartered.
  • Big 4 or Mid-tier Chartered experience advantageous.
  • Experience gained within any state, federal or local government entity in Australia is highly advantageous, however strong exposure in other industry sectors also welcome.
  • Superior communication and people skills.
  • Adaptable, self-directed and a strong team player.
  • Able to work independently or within a team environment.
  • Must have Australian Citizenship, this is Non-Negotiable.
