Role Summary:

We're looking for experienced corporate bankers with strong business development and relationship skills, who are aspirant to elevate their corporate banking career with one of the fastest growing banks in Asia Pacific - one of the world's Top 20 banks by total asset. The position requires a forward-thinking and strategic professional to work in positive
relationship with coverage, product and credit teams and grow the portfolio of corporate banking loans, bonds and deposits with customers. 
 

Your Responsibilities:
  • Solicit, acquire, maintain and develop existing as well as new relationships with clients in Queensland through periodic review of clients’ financial needs and researching market opportunities
  • Structure, negotiate and execute syndicated or bilateral loan transactions.
  • Manage client relationships to attain sales targets through successful placement of clients by selling and cross-selling the entire width of wholesale banking products.
  • Update the team with recent market information about certain industries.
  • Hands on transaction related works including but not limited to:
            - Carrying out various analysis on customers’ financial position or financial model as part of a complete credit analysis report on new credit facilities or renewals;
            - Writing credit proposals for new exposure as well as additional facilities for existing clients;
            - Ensures proper documentation is in place for all credit exposure as per internal and external guidelines;
            - Due Diligence, KYC, AML check on customers.
  • Establish select limits for clients and authorise granting any facilities.
  • Closely monitor performance of accounts, maintain credit quality of the designated portfolio by minimising non-performing assets with the aim of minimising defaults and provisions.
  • Perform detailed capital and return analysis and examine how capital/regulatory limitations drive lending decisions.
  • Deliver a detailed marketing plan to achieve the projected yearly budget and sales targets.

The Requirements:
  • Minimum 8 years' experience in Corporate Finance; either in a Business Development / Relationship Management / Credit Analyst role. 
  • Solid credit structuring and financial modelling proficiency, preferably for high-value syndicated loans.
  • Basic knowledge of AMLCTF & KYC rules applicable to large corporate investments, and relevant regulatory requirements (ie. APRA, AUSTRAC and ASIC)
  • Strong networking and relationship building skills with various industry professionals. 
  • Demonstrated capability to operate autonomously with integrity and meet demanding deadlines.
  • Track record in Infrastructure, Energy & Utilities, PPP, Mining, or Property sectors (AU & NZ) is desirable.
