Responsibilities

  • Plan, design, and implement an overall Operational Risk Management Framework (ORMF) and update relevant risk policy documentations adhereing to CPS 220.
  • Establish and maintain operational risk appetite and metrics.
  • Take lead and facilitate the implementation of the Risk & Control Self-Assessment (RCSA), Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and Loss Data Collection (LDC) on a regular basis, in order to ensure risk and process / control deficiencies are identified, assessed and remediated in an effective and timely manner.
  • Update and maintenance relevant documentation, initiate Business Continuity Plan (BCP) and Disaster Recovery (DR) tests on a regular basis.
  • Provide risk advisory on Outsourcing Management and New Product Development.
  • Provide SME risk advisory and support to Line 1 in order to raise operational risk awareness and knowledge, to strengthen internal risk control environment and to keep the Bank abreast of any material emerging trends, external events, industry best practices etc.
  • Understand Head Office and regulatory requirements for operational risk matters and able to provide support, education and training to staff to build risk awareness within the Bank.
  • Establish good relationship with business/functional departments across the bank and develop good understanding of business products / service offering and front-to-bank process.
  • Prepare response and investigation of system-generated operational risk queries (i.e. GMAP) in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate various stakeholders in compiling relevant data and perform data checking and validation and ensure data quality and submission on time.
  • Perform other operational risk management functions including trend analysis and stress/scenario testing.
  • Assist in ad hoc projects and tasks such as Head Office requests, preparation of prudential/audit review.

Required Skills/Experienc

  • Minimum 5 years experience in Financial Services, with relevant experience in Line 1/2 business risk and control functions.
  • Good knowledge in operational risk management and understanding of relevant regulations.
  • Bachelor degree or related. 
  • Excellent communication skills in both Mandarin & English.

Highly Regarded Skills/Experience

  • Experience in Australian banking.
  • Professional qualification such as CA/CPA, CIA, CFA or FRM.
