Our client is a global insurance organisation headquartered in Europe.  They have recently won a significant global contract to provide their insurance products to integrate with their customer's booking platform.  Their Australian CIO is looking to appoint a Technology Project Manager to run the Australian stream of this global project.  To be a success in this role you will need the following skills and experience:
 

  • At least 5 years' experience working as an IT Project Manager or Technology Delivery Manager
  • Experience leading projects with a system integration focus
  • Experience in Agile, Waterfall and blended delivery approaches
  • Experience working in the insurance industry is a must
  • Experience working with internationally distributed teams
  • A background in software engineering
You will be a strong manager of client and vendor resources, protecting the scope of your business case and pushing back any requests that can delay agreed to delivery timelines.

To thrive in this very high-paced project delivery environment you will need to be comfortable working hand-in-hand with your European counterparts.  This might mean a few calls in the evenings, though this is offset by flexible working practices.  You will be expected in the office in the CBD for 2 days per week.

This is a very exciting, multi-year program of work that will utilise your project management, stakeholder engagement and technology delivery expertise.  You will also run smaller, corporate projects as and when needed.
