About the Role
 
We are seeking a Technology Lead to assume full responsibility and ownership of all technology within the payments division of our client.
 
You’ll shape the technology roadmap, uplift platform capability, and ensure operational resilience across a critical payments ecosystem. You will work closely with business leaders, product owners, and engineering teams to deliver secure, scalable, and modern payment solutions aligned with enterprise standards and contemporary engineering practices.
 
Key Responsibilities
Define and maintain the technology roadmap for the Payments domain.
Lead the planning and execution of technical initiatives, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.
Oversee architectural alignment and ensure compliance with enterprise frameworks.
Serve as the primary technology partner for product, risk, compliance, operations, and other business stakeholders.
Manage vendor relationships and assess third-party payment technologies.
Champion innovation, including the adoption of AI, automation, and next-generation payments capabilities.
Ensure regulatory compliance, data privacy, and technology risk controls.
Build and guide a high-performing team aligned with long-term technology and workforce strategy.
 
What We’re Looking For
Proven experience in technology leadership within financial services or similarly complex environments.
Strong background in payments or cards technology, transaction processing, or other high-volume financial platforms.
Demonstrated capability in strategic planning, architecture governance, and delivery execution.
Ability to influence and partner effectively with senior stakeholders.
Commercial acumen, including experience managing technology budgets and external partners.
Inspirational leadership focused on innovation, resilience, and continuous improvement.
