Senior Business Analyst – CPS230 | Operational Resilience & Risk

We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst to support a key client with APRA's CPS230 alignment. This is a key opportunity to play a central role in uplifting risk, resilience, and third-party management practices across a major financial institution.
This role suits a strategic, business-facing BA with strong experience across operational resilience, risk frameworks, and process mapping. You’ll work closely with business units and risk stakeholders to identify gaps, define critical operations, and uplift governance structures in line with regulatory expectations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead business process mapping, documentation, and gap analysis across critical operational areas
  • Support the uplift of frameworks related to Material Service Providers (MSPs) and third-party risk
  • Assist in defining and embedding Critical Operations and business continuity planning as required under CPS230
  • Facilitate stakeholder workshops, gather requirements, and drive BA artefact creation
  • Ensure accurate mapping of risks, controls, and dependencies aligned to internal frameworks and regulatory timelines
  • Contribute to the development of a future-proof, enterprise-wide Operational Resilience framework
Ideal Candidate Profile:
  • 10+ years’ experience as a Business Analyst within large, regulated organisations (banking, insurance, financial services)
  • Proven experience working on CPS230, APRA regulatory uplift, or operational risk/resilience programs
  • Skilled in process improvement, risk-control mapping, and documentation to meet compliance standards
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills across risk, compliance, operations, and legal teams
  • Familiar with enterprise risk frameworks, governance structures, and process maturity assessment
