I am currently looking for a Senior Analyst for a great new line 2 role with a leading Insurance company. You will ideally come from Big 4 professional services with hands-on experience on producing risk reporting and insights for clients' board and committee meetings. This is a fast paced role supporting a high performing Risk Assurance team in building out new processes for group risk best practice, which also gives you exposure to senior leadership and stakeholders across the business. 


Your duties will include but not limited to:
  • Co-ordinate regular planning activities within the Line 2 Group Risk function. Capture, document and present outcomes.
  • Resource and project manage the risk assurance operations, targeting at developing and supporting best practice.
  • Create process documents, tools and templates to standardise group risk reporting in a semi-greenfield environment.
  • Generate insights from risk data, prepare timely risk reports including inputs into Executive and Board Committee Papers, monthly performance reports and ad hoc requests.
  • Provide first point of contact for support for systems, tools and templates used in delivery of activity. Deep dive and problem solve any systems or process related issues.
  • Actively contribute to a culture of innovation and allow for benchmarking of the ways of working, planning, reporting and methodologies against industry better practice.

Skill requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in a risk, compliance, governance, analytics or process improvement role (preferably in General Insurance).
  • Project management skills - planning, status tracking, stakeholder engagement in an agile environment.
  • Strong reporting skills (incl. pivot table, vlookup in Excel, presenting in PowerPoint and able to provide context around insights).
  • Motivation for process improvement and best practice, with intiatives to learn on the fly.
  • Good understanding of risks and controls management (ie SOX, GS 007, ASAE standards) is highly desirable.
  • Professional qualifications with IIA, ICAA, CPA, Lean 6 Sigma, CISA, RIMA, ANZIIF equivalent are desirable but not mandatory.
