💼 Now Hiring: Rates Officer | Local Council
📍 Location: Parramatta, NSW
⏰ 3-Month initial Contract | 💰 Up to $53.90/hr (inclusive of super)

We are seeking an experienced Rates Officer to join its collaborative Finance Team

What you will do:
✨ Deliver a high-quality, customer-focused rates and revenue service
📊 Process and reconcile rate payments, adjustments, and exemptions
🧾 Review pensioner rebate verifications and rate category changes
🤝 Provide accurate data and reports to internal and external stakeholders
💡 Support process improvement and continuous service optimisation

What we’re looking for:
✅ Certificate qualification in business, accounting, or bookkeeping
✅ Minimum 3 years’ experience in a local government rates & revenue environment
✅ Strong communication, analytical, and customer service skills
✅ Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and finance systems
✅ Ability to manage deadlines and work autonomously
