IMMEDIATE - WHS Specialist - AUD 70 - 80 per hour - 38 hours - Council Environment
Role   :  WHS Specialist
Initial contract            :   Till March '26
Location                     :   Leichhardt NSW
 
MUST HAVE : WHS subject matter expert / WHS legislation

Overview
The position is part of a specialist team WHS services throughout Council and supports public safety consistent with WHS legislation and using a practical continuous improvement approach.

Required Skills & Experience
- Support the development, review and continuous improvement of the WHS and Injury Management systems
- Practices to ensure standards comply with WHS framework and legislative requirements.
- Contribute to robust WHS enterprise risk management framework covering both strategic and operational risks.
- Participate in Business Continuity and Incident Management functions of Council in consultation with the Manager
- Conduct risk based audits, implement corrective actions, provide support
- Understanding of a structured continuous improvement process/cycle and demonstrated ability to identify
- Understanding of continuous learning principles, equal employment opportunities, and ethical practice principles
- An outstanding and demonstrated commitment to Risk performance
