An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Integrated Planning and Reporting (IP&R) Officer to join a dynamic Sydney-based council. This role will see you support the development and delivery of key corporate and strategic planning initiatives that shape the city’s long-term vision and operational performance.

About the Role

As an IP&R Officer, you’ll play a key part in ensuring the effective implementation of the Council’s Integrated Planning and Reporting framework. Working collaboratively across all business units, you’ll assist in the preparation of strategic documents, corporate reports, and performance measures aligned with Council’s goals and legislative requirements.

Key responsibilities include:

✅Supporting the development, review and implementation of Council’s Community Strategic Plan, Delivery Program and Operational Plan
✅Coordinating corporate planning, business planning, and performance reporting processes
✅Providing advice and guidance to staff on IP&R frameworks and best practices
✅Administering and enhancing IP&R systems and corporate planning templates
✅Preparing key reports, updates and submissions to inform Council and the community
✅Assisting with community engagement activities and satisfaction surveys
✅Contributing to cross-organisational projects that drive continuous improvement

To be successful, you’ll have:

✅ A degree in a relevant field (e.g. business, planning, policy, or related discipline)
✅ Demonstrated experience in corporate or integrated planning, reporting, and performance measurement
✅ Strong written communication skills and ability to prepare key corporate documents
✅ Proficiency in business systems and the confidence to train and support users
✅ Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across diverse teams
✅ Strong organisation and time management skills, with the ability to meet tight deadlines

Desirable:

✅Experience working within the NSW Integrated Planning and Reporting framework
✅Previous local government experience
✅Business planning experience in a large or complex organisation
