The Organisation:

Our client is a reputable provider of FX, Cross-boarder Payments and Financial Risk Management Solutions to mid-markets (SME) clients. You will be joining a growing Compliance team in this broad and diverse role, supporting the Head of Compliance in all facets of compliance duties. 


The Responsibilities:

  • Manage the compliance policy framework, including the development, review and implementation of the overall compliance policies and procedures relevant to AML/CTF regulations, AFSL obligations, Privacy, Consumer Law and other relevant legislations.
  • Maintain and update the various compliance documentation / registers / records relevant (but not limited to) specific regulatory compliance functions, obligations, and projects.
  • Maintain and update disclosure documents and marketing materials.
  • Plan, implement and complete monitoring and testing of internal controls, provide prompt advice and guidance to the business on ad hoc enquiries, and ongoing projects and development;
  • Produce quality reports and ensure timely lodgement with regulators and the Board.
  • Work with and support colleagues in the 1st line of defence as need be.
  • Execute, address and coordinate audit requirements.
  • Assist with the review of KYC and Client Onboarding cases.
  • Manage incidents and breaches.
 
About You:

  • 2-3 experience working in a compliance role in Financial Services (preferably in Australia).
  • General understanding of the Australian Financial Services environment especially the area of, AFSL Obligations, Privacy, Complaints Management and AMLCTF/Financial Crime.
  • Strong ability to understand legal and regulatory requirements and to apply them to business practices.
  • Must be a self-starter who takes initiatives to understand a variety of tasks, and achieves goals in a collaborative approach.
  • Ability to work independently & productively in a fast-paced and undefined environment.
  • Tertiary qualified (industry-relevant certificates would be advantageous).
