IMMEDIATE - Communications Officer - AUD 52 per hour - 38 hours - Council Environment
Role   :  Communication Officer
Initial contract            :   Till June '26
Location                     :   Canterbury Bankstown
 
MUST HAVE : Communications in digital channels – including campaign collateral, website, media releases and social media.

Required Skills & Experience
- At least 5 years’ experience in a communications role
- Demonstrated experience working with clients/internal customers to achieve communication objectives
- Demonstrated experience developing and implementing effective communication strategies to promote services/initiatives and increase the positive profile of an organisation.
- Highly developed customer service, time management and project management skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills – with ability to translate complex information into human language
- Resonates with the target audience and ability to adapt content to suit print and digital channels – including campaign collateral, website, media releases and social media.
- Experience working collaboratively as part of a cross-functional, workplace team to achieve agreed outcomes.
- Demonstrated ability to tell creative, interesting and relevant stories that inspire and engage the target audience.
