As part of a major initiative to refresh and realign the application environment across a large enterprise organisation, we're looking to engage a Snr Solution Architect to take a senior role and help provide and approve solution architecture for on-going initiatives and projects. 

The role partners with a newly established project team to ensure effective delivery of enterprise wide technology solutions, which will initially focus on the set-up and integration of COTS, SaaS, PaaS solutions and applications.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Provide input to the strategic direction of technology investments to assist in the development of the solution architecture and maximise the return on technology investment
  • Within the agreed enterprise architecture, define and design technology solutions to assist the business in meeting their business objectives
  • Be a primary point of contact for all solution design and implementation risks/issues and ensure project team is on the right track implementing, testing and deploying recommended / approved solutions in time and within agreed quality standards
  • Develop cost and benefit analysis for recommended solutions and assist in developing quality business cases and other commercial documents required as part of project deliverables
  • Provide input to and assist with the effective implementation of a comprehensive architecture plan addressing all elements of the architectural framework ensuring alignment to the IT enterprise architectural goals and technology roadmap
  • Provide solution design documents defining and describing the business solutions architecture and relative methodologies and activities required for its maintenance and support
  • Engage relevant stakeholders, understand business problems and align technology solutions ensuring business and technology risks are mitigated in a timely fashion.
What we're looking for:
  • Demonstrable previous experience developing solutions architecture, business and systems requirements, and technical design and analysis.
  • Analysis and knowledge of Solution Architecture development, information and technology architecture concepts, including experience in applications development, infrastructure architecture and IT operations.
  • Exposure to working in an Agile / Scrum environment desirable.
  • Experience and knowledge of industry standard development methodologies, tools, and techniques, including knowledge of IT service principles and frameworks, including ITIL.
  • Relevant Tertiary qualification in Computer Science / Information Technology
