Our client is a leading healthcare organisation with a strong presence in Australia and internationally.

About the role
The Digital Engineer will manage and maintain the umbrella of over 20 websites and associated digital platforms that sit under this health organisations umbrella. You will ensuring they are secure, high-performing, user-friendly, and aligned with the company’s brand and strategic goals. This role is key in delivering enhancements, managing third-party integrations, ensuring compliance with privacy and accessibility standards, and supporting digital campaigns across the Virtus Health network. The Digital Engineer will work closely with other IT areas, Marketing, external vendors, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality, scalable, and accessible digital experiences for patients, clinicians, and partners.

What's required
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience managing corporate websites, ideally in healthcare or regulated industries.
- Strong proficiency in front-end and back-end web development (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, PHP, etc.).
- Demonstrated experience with CMS platforms such as Drupal (including Drupal 7/10/11), WordPress, or similar.
- Familiarity with responsive design principles, accessibility standards (WCAG), and browser compatibility.
- Experience with tools like Google Analytics, Tag Manager, SEO platforms (e.g., SEMrush, Screaming Frog), and performance testing tools.
- Have experience uplifting, optimizing websites
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with an eye for design detail and user experience.
- Ability to maintain and manage all their wesbites and microsites, monitoring uptime and performance.
- Experience ensuring CMS platforms are updated with security patches and configurations, and administering user access.
- Skills in coordinating domain renewals, DNS management, SSL updates, and platform hosting environments.
- Proven ability to plan and support upgrades or platform migrations, ensuring minimal downtime.
- Experience developing, testing, and deploying new features, page templates, plugins, or integrations.
- Collaboration with UX designers and marketers for SEO-friendly, responsive, and accessible front-end designs.
- Experience integrating digital tools, CRMs, booking engines, analytics, and payment gateways.
- Knowledge of ensuring compliance with accessibility and privacy regulations.
- Ability to assist in prototyping and A/B testing for digital marketing campaigns.
- Experience managing relationships with external digital agencies and web hosting providers.
- Acting as a technical point of contact for web updates, ensuring clear requirements and timely delivery.
- Coordination with IT security teams for secure platform configurations, audits, and penetration testing.
- Support for digital transformation initiatives relying on seamless web user experiences
