Are you a seasoned professional in risk management and internal audit, driven by the desire to effect real change in organisations? Our prestigious client, a boutique consulting firm specialising in risk consulting for small to medium-sized enterprises, government agencies, and not-for-profit organisations, is currently seeking a Senior Manager of Risk & Assurance to join their dynamic team.

About the Role: As the Senior Manager of Risk & Assurance, you will collaborate closely with the Director to forge strategic partnerships with government entities at the state and national levels, as well as with private sector
clients. Your primary focus will encompass client engagement, business development, and ensuring the delivery of top-tier outcomes that align with our client's mission and values.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Spearheading a diverse range of risk and assurance projects, ensuring exceptional quality and adherence to established timelines.
  • Collaborating with the Director and team members to identify and pursue new services, opportunities, and client relationships.
  • Providing rigorous quality assurance for assigned engagements, including meticulous document reviews and coordination of peer review processes.
  • Offering constructive feedback to team members to nurture their professional growth and skill development.
  • Assisting with the preparation of compelling tender responses, proposals, and quotations to secure new business ventures.
  • Contributing actively to ongoing improvements in systems and processes within the practice.

Experience & Qualifications:
  • Approximately 10+ years of hands-on internal audit experience, complemented by relevant qualifications (e.g., CIA or Graduate Certificate in Internal Auditing).
  • Demonstrated prowess in business development or related capabilities.
  • Proven track record of effectively managing professionals within a diverse environment.
  • Exemplary client focus, underscored by a track record of surpassing client expectations.
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to delivery excellence and adept relationship-building skills.
  • Highly organised, resilient, and adept at managing multiple projects in a fast-paced setting.
  • Initiative-driven with a keen analytical acumen and adept problem-solving skills.
  • Positive demeanour and adept team player.
  • Australian Citizenship/Permanent Resident required.
