Security engineers are integral to the team and department in delivering on our Strategy, and provide invaluable support assisting other Technology Teams to deliver innovative secure solutions.

Operational Functions
Using your time, talent, and technologies to enable and empower your service delivery partners.  Identifying and building tools (self-service, automation) to help with continuous delivery, continuous development, and security based Devops (SecDevOps).
Manage the daily operations (Testing, Pre-Production & Production Platform Support, Critical Incident Mgmt., System Health Check & Monitoring, Change Mgmt., System Upgrades and Maintenance) of our on-premise and cloud-based platforms.
Drive, assist and contribute with investigations into potential solutions, liaise with relevant technical experts and contribute to solution design, costing and specifications.
Work collaboratively maintaining ongoing dialogue and relationships with your Customers and Stakeholders as part of continued solution development and support.
Create and maintain relevant documentation including Standard Operating Procedures for platform management and processes;

Experience
  • At least 5 years hands-on IT Security experience.
  • At least 3 years’ experience of IT Security operations in a large organisation.
  • Experience in maintaining and/or supporting an enterprise Information Technology environment.
Essential Experience
  • High level of technical skill and experience in managing the following products:
          o Firewalls/IPS - Palo Alto Networks
          o Load Balancing & App Firewall – F5
          o Proxy Services – Netskope
          o IPSEC B2B VPN – Cisco ASA
          o Host Based Firewalls, IPS, AV, DLP – Trend, Crowdstrike, Airlock
  • Knowledge of the OSI layers and good troubleshooting skills up to an application level with a proven ability to analyse packet captures
  • Technical knowledge of enterprise level security platforms and processes
  • Knowledge of Scripting language - python would be highly desirable
  • Have knowledge of secure development practices and application deployment methodologies
  • Be able to demonstrate a solid understanding of disciplines in change control, security, performance monitoring, on-going administration and documentation
  • Strong ability to interpret designs and strategies as it relates to platforms and understand how this impacts both Information Technology and the Business.
