We have been exclusively engaged by a prominent Australian financial institution undergoing a significant transformation to identify an experienced Risk Governance Specialist. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the uplift of enterprise risk governance in a complex, high-accountability environment.
This position is ideal for a governance, risk, or legal professional who brings deep expertise in corporate governance frameworks and a passion for enhancing the effectiveness of internal decision-making structures and risk oversight.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the review and enhancement of internal risk governance processes, including delegations of authority, accountabilities, and committee structures.

  • Lead initiatives to strengthen governance operations and uplift understanding of governance across business teams.
  • Collaborate on the design and roll-out of tools, training, and guidance materials to support governance literacy and capability.
  • Assist in refining internal decision-making structures and ensuring governance practices are aligned with the organisation’s strategic and operational objectives.
  • Engage effectively with stakeholders to embed consistent, transparent, and fit-for-purpose governance practices across the organisation.
About You:
  • Strong background in legal, governance, risk or compliance functions within a large and/or regulated organisation.
  • Proven experience implementing or improving governance frameworks, accountability structures, and executive-level committee processes.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work across all levels of the organisation.
  • A strategic thinker who can also execute practical solutions and manage change effectively.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in law, governance, risk, or related fields will be highly regarded.
Why This Role?
