This is an opportunity to join Australia' leading Insurer as they continue to expand the 2nd Line Risk Assurance function - you will be supporting a Senior Manager helping to plan risk assurance activity, conduct the reviews of internal controls and risk activities and provide recommendations and insight to senior management via reporting and presentations.

Each Senior Manager supports a particularly portfolio within the business so you will get to know the various managers/senior managers and EM's that you support very well. This would be an excellent role for someone who wants to move into industry from one of the big 4 consulting practices or someone from another Insurance business looking to understand how other business' operate in this area.

5 years strong technical assurance experience with chartered and financial commercial experience is preferred. You will need to demonstrate a high level of oral and written communication for the reporting/presentation side of the role.
Is this you?
  • Ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders and senior management to deliver on reviews and to meet business objectives
  • Minimum of 5 years Assurance background in industry and/or Big 4
  • Experience in complex technology driven environment including reviewing large transformation programs
  • Demonstrated understanding Australian Prudential Standards, Financial Services Legislation, Capital and Licensing
  • Proven ability to work autonomously, drive for results and keep abreast of changes in external environment and translate into internal environment
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively across whole of function and broader group to reach common approach
  • Significant experience in managing multiple/concurrent assignments from beginning to end within a multi-disciplined corporate function
  • Knowledge and experience in implementing contemporary, evidence based and fit for purpose governance frameworks, systems and processes for key functions including enterprise risk management, compliance and assurance systems
  • Proven communication skills | service industry and relationship management
  • Discipline/experience in assurance delivery: audit | large change programmes | financial services
