This is a new role to build and manage the Project Practice Management function across a diverse portfolio of applications and infrastructure projects within this government organisation. It includes setting up a strong community of practice, implementing the Project Delivery framework and governance in collaboration with the PMO, managing and uplifting the capabilities of the Project Managers.

Skills
& Experience required
  • Demonstrated previous experience managing /setting up a Project Community of Practice and ongoing management and improvement of the function to ensure alignment of delivery to the wider technology and business strategy
  • Strong leadership and experience of capability and skill uplift of a team of Project Managers
  • Solid knowledge and experience of contemporary Project Management practices and frameworks, processes and tools
  • 10 years + experience managing the end to end delivery of multiple, concurrent application and infrastructure projects in large and federated environments
  • Mix of government and corporate experience in transport/airline/construction industries ideal
  • Relevant tertiary degree and/or professional qualifications
