Manager – Financial Crime Advisory (12-Month Contract)

We are recruiting on behalf of a leading financial services institution seeking a Manager – Financial Crime Advisory to join their Consumer Banking COO function. This 12-month contract offers a highly attractive daily rate and the opportunity to work on a significant financial crime transformation agenda.
As part of the first line Financial Crime Advisory team, you will act as a bridge between advisory and transformation teams, supporting regulatory uplift and ensuring alignment with the financial crime roadmap. You will provide expert advice on AML/CTF, KYC, and FATCA/CRS compliance while contributing to key program milestones and backlog prioritisation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support senior stakeholders in delivering change aligned with financial crime obligations
  • Provide financial crime SME input across multiple transformation initiatives
  • Participate in project cadence (e.g., PI planning, retrospectives)
  • Translate BAU issues into structured initiatives and support backlog management
  • Identify and escalate control or technology gaps and policy impacts
About You:
  • 5+ years in financial services with at least 3 years in financial crime advisory (AML/CTF/KYC, FATCA/CRS)
  • Proven ability to provide in-depth regulatory advice, not just operational/transactional support
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and problem-solving capabilities
  • Agile or product owner certification is advantageous
Please note: This role requires deep technical knowledge of financial crime regulatory obligations. Candidates with purely AML operations, onboarding, or transaction monitoring backgrounds (without advisory experience) will not be considered.
