MUST HAVE :  IT Service Desk experience ( Level 1 and level 2 )

Overview

To support the service management team in delivering IT support services to Council, staffing the IT Service Desk and providing support to users of IT tools by logging service calls, solving incidents or escalating these as needed.  


Responsibilities

- Liaising with users of council systems and assuring product performance through handling minor problems requiring considerable technical ability.
- Assuming responsibility for the safety and security of IT plant and equipment as well as the WHS of the business.
- Answer Service desk calls as per approved protocol.
- Provide level 1 service desk support and level 2 desktop support to users
- Manage set-up activities for IT devices and systems and monitor their performance to limit or prevent loss of service to end users
- Installs and connects system hardware or new software and performs system diagnostic
- Repairs and corrects malfunctions as necessary in accordance with troubleshooting and maintenance role. 
- Modifies or updates hardware or software assets as required.
