Our client, a market leader in financial services are looking to appoint an accomplished compliance professional into a Head of Compliance position.
The successful candidate will provide experienced professional design leadership to ensure the organisation's risk management frameworks are aligned to the company’s strategic direction and are compliant with legislation, regulation, current governance, best practice and commercially effective.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the prudential compliance framework, maintaining a productive relationship with APRA.
  • Provide thought leadership to strengthen Governance, Culture, Remuneration, and Accountability (GRCA) framework.
  • Develop, maintain, and manage the regulatory breach reporting framework.
  • The successful candidate will collaborate with the Executive Team, Senior Leaders, and Risk Office staff to manage culture, conduct, and compliance risks effectively. This role involves working with stakeholders across the group, Board, Executive Team, and Regulators, while also leading a small team of compliance professionals.
Qualifications:
  • Relevant academic qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing frameworks, policies, and standards in a complex financial services institution
  • Strong understanding of relevant legislation, regulations, and APRA prudential standards within the Financial Services and Life Insurance industry
  • Experience in dealing with regulators in a financial services environment
  • Strategic, forward-thinking, and commercially agile with demonstrated leadership capabilities
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills across all organizational levels
