We are looking for a highly skilled data strategy professional to provide the specialist skills needed to meet the Operational Risk function’s oversight, insight and control responsibilities for data risk across the cleints portfolio. Specifically this role will support the effective execution of the data risk class and policy and oversight responsibilities.with a passion for instituting quality processes and an exceptional problem-solving toolkit.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accountable for the documents throughout their lifecycles. This includes their design and development, approval, monitoring, updates and ongoing maintenance and reviews.
  • Responsible for developing, seeking approval for, coordinating implementation of, and maintaining and reviewing the documents.
  • Facilitate key stakeholders consultation and feedback.
  • Develop adequate standards and related documents, including (where appropriate) systems and processes to support implementation.
  • Ensure relevant regulatory or statutory obligations are incorporated.
  • Ensure alignment to other Group frameworks and policies where relevant.
To Succeed
  • Minimum 5 years demonstrable experience in a similar role, with responsibility for implementing data governance practices and focus on policy creation
  • A sound understanding of risk concepts, frameworks, policies and procedures, particularly those pertaining to operational and data risk
  • Level of proficiency across a range of data platforms and BI technologies.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience in policy change management
  • Experience in running large workshops / training
  • Experience in data management capabilities and related technology
  • Extensive experience in data policy and framework design, delivery and implementation
  • Knowledge of data related government regulatory requirements and emerging trends and issues, with a working knowledge of CPG235 (preferred)
  • Extensive data governance, data management or data risk management experience
