We are looking for an Azure Data Integration Developer to join a NSW Government agency based in Parramatta on an initial 4 month contract. You will deploy, support and maintain application and data integration layers. Contributing to and/or leading integration work in line with the agreed system and service design. Assessing risks and taking preventative action. Measuring and monitoring applications of standards.
You will also be responsible for developing new integrations and supporting existing recently developed solutions using the Azure integration platform (Logic Apps, API management, Event Grid, Azure storage).
Role responsibilities:
Act as an SME and provide recommendations and establish standards and practices in relation to the existing application landscape, which is a combination of SaaS, on premise COTS and in house applications
Develop robust, scalable, and secure Application Program Interface (APIs) to provide seamless
integration experience to our platform applications.
Implement and maintain API security measures, including authentication and access controls.
Optimize API performance and ensure high availability and reliability.
Demonstrated experience in design and delivery of integration and services solutions in cloud including application, API and data integration using Microservices architecture.
Develop, maintain and support the inventory of the enterprise integration landscape, including authoritative systems, owners, types, and flows.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree, preferably in a Management Information Systems, Information Technology/Computer Sciences field, or equivalent experience.
Current NSW Drivers Licence
Knowledge:
Conception, design, and development of interfaces and integration architectures
Managing data analysis and integration of disparate systems
Azure Logic Apps & Azure Functions, APIM
Experience:
Proven experience Automating build and release of Integration solutions
Experience coding in SQL, Postman, and Python
Experience using Webapps, Containers & API Management
Experience Monitoring and analyzing API usage patterns, identify bottlenecks, and propose solutions for improvement as well as troubleshooting and resolving API-related issues reported by internal teams or external partners.
Solid experience in API design principles, including versioning, error handling, and data serialisation formats (e.g., JSON, XML).
Experience with API documentation tools (e.g., Swagger) and familiarity with API management platforms.
Knowledge of authentication and authorization mechanisms such as OAuth, JWT, and API keys.
Proficiency in using source code version control systems (e.g., Git).
Strong and hands on experience in WebApi, API versioning, API Catalog, APIM Deployment templates, Azure service bus queues, Azure eventhub, Azure eventgrid.
Favourable Candidate Requirements:
Supporting backend related data and partial participation in the DevOps;
Building API documentation and ensure it remains up to date with the latest changes and enhancements.
Exposure to technologies such as Power Platform, Synapse, Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Purview, Power BI,
Experience in the implementation and design of contemporary, effective, and supportable system integration solutions that maximise re-use and interoperability
Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS) and their associated API services
Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
Strong understanding and hands on experience of Azure iPaaS (Azure API Management, Web APIs, Logic Apps, Service Bus, Storage and Queues)
Demonstrated experience and understanding of Build and release procedures for Enterprise applications.
