Our client, a Leading NSW Government Department are looking for a Solution Architect to join their team.

The initial contract will be 12 months with potential for an extension past this point.

Primary purpose of the role
Develop domain and solution architectures and undertake engineering activities directly supporting the delivery of projects which interface with core end user services infrastructure systems used by 30,000 users

Key accountabilities
  • Provide domain architecture for Office 365 from messaging platform to end user compute devices.
  • Work closely with Cyber security team to architect and design security controls to provide safe and secure Office 365 platform
  • Provide Office 365 engineering and solution consulting guidance to internal clients
  • Produce end user solution designs that leverage on-premises and cloud technologies that align with strategy, reference architectures, technology roadmaps and patterns.
  • Integrate solutions across a complex technology landscape and interact with dissimilar systems.
  • Establish and incubate “proof of concepts” in the spirit of test and learn and fail fast.
  • Work as a technical SME on multiple projects using both agile and waterfall methodologies.
  • Foster effective relationships with team members and business stakeholders to deliver technology outcomes that provide business value.
  • Work closely with vendors who are responsible for operating technology systems as part of an outsourced agreement.
  • Generate data insights on the Office 365 platform.
  • Drive automation in platform management to increase productivity efficiencies.
  • Ensure platform risk controls are operating as expected.
Key requirements
  • 5+ years experience delivering IT solutions to corporate, enterprise and/or government.
  • Experience with PowerShell
  • Highly proficient in Azure AD and Active Directory, ADFS
  • Highly proficient in Exchange on-premise, Exchange Online, and Hybrid mode
  • Experience in implementing Office 365 Security and compliance (including e-discovery)
