A client of ours in the Fin Services space are looking to grow their Security Operations function with a Lead Security Consultant within the security operations space. Bringing your past experience, this is an internal role where you'd have the ability to influence how the function is developed, influence tooling and mentor junior staff member.

This role covers a mixture of BAU & project based work, providing leadership and managing operational security services and incident response capabilities. This role sits as part of an overall transformation program internally driving uplift in the overall security maturity of the organisation.
 
To be successful, you'd need to come from a Security Operations background and have some experience in mentoring or leading teams. Ideally a mixture of:
 
  • Experience with SIEM, EDR and SOAR solutions
  • Leadership in managing a team and projects
  • Complex Enterprise IT Environments
  • Incident response & threat hunting
  • An understanding of cyber threats, attack vectors and best practice (MITRE ATT&CK)
Not expecting a unicorn or having all of these, but a mixture of exposure, experience and understanding of the above. As an organisation, the internal culture is focused on empowering their people, autonomy, trust and the belief in their people.
