Position Title: Senior Associate Procurement Advisory
Start date: ASAP 
End Date: 6 months from start date
Pay Rate: $700 per day plus Super
Hours of Work: 8 hours per day / 40 hours per week
Hybrid: 3 days in office 


The Senior Associate Procurement Advisory provides expert technical procurement advice on policies, procedures, systems and standards to key stakeholders undertaking procurement planning, sourcing and contract management activities, to enable them to meet business needs and government directions.

Key responsibilities include:

• Engage and advise key stakeholders on policies, procedures, systems and standards to enable them to deliver effective, outcomes-focused procurement activities across the organisation.
• Partner with key business stakeholders to develop procurement and supply arrangements and negotiating plan to meet specific business needs, manage risk and deliver value for money.
• Partner with staff from across the organisation (and partner agencies) to provide high level advice and guidance to build expertise in procurement, provide governance and improve procurement practice and outcomes.
• Develop, co-ordinate and lead sourcing activities to establish supply arrangements that meet business needs.
• Develop and administer contract management plans, negotiate changes and modifications, supplier performance management and compliance requirements through effective supplier relationships to enhance business outcomes.
• Identify, manage and mitigate procurement risks to enable the organisation to meet its obligations.
• Document procurement processes, decisions and contractual arrangements fully to provide an audit trail for probity and audit purposes.

Criteria
  • Ideal candidate will have previous government experience (or similar) at a senior level (grade 9/10 clerk equivalent) 
  • Experience in running tenders and contract execution (not a contract manager)
  • End to end procurment cycle experience
