Our client a leading NSW Government Department are looking for a Learning & Development to join them on a 3 month contract with high potential for extension.

The role leads the delivery of Leadership Development modules, coordinates and delivers quality training initiatives designed to build leadership skills and capability and achieve continuous business improvement. The role provides coaching and mentoring support for emerging and existing leaders within the Department.

Key accountabilities

Deliver quality training content to employees in accordance with the Learning & Development (L&D) program to enhance leadership capabilities and skills and support the Department’s business objective

  • Manage and oversee the delivery of leadership/learning programs including the delivery of training modules that develop organisational capability, coordinate resources, contributing to the development of training materials, managing budgets, and evaluation and reporting to ensure consistent delivery of a high quality, tailored learning program

  • Coach and provide mentoring support to emergent and existing leaders and managers within the Department to build leadership capability

  • Providing expert insight into the design of training programs and utilise participant feedback to advise on continuous improvement for course content and create effective learning options to meet client needs.

  • Coordinate and deliver assessment tools such as EQ and 360 degree feedback tools for leaders, assisting in debriefing of results

  • Maintain records of course participants' progress, attendance and training activities to ensure participants achieve course outcomes

  • Facilitate and coordinate external trainers and facilitators to ensure they deliver course material to a required standard and in accordance with agreed deliverables

Essential Requirements

  • Tertiary qualification in Organisational Psychology or equivalent experience

  • Accreditation in Learning Assessment tools such as EQ, DISC and 360

  • Current driver licence and ability and willingness to travel

  • Experienced in presenting and facilitating organisational development course content

  • Experienced in coaching emerging leaders
