We’re looking for a Senior Java Developer to join our financial services client. Your role will be focused around back-end development and API integration. You will be responsible for building enterprise scale Java solutions, delivering rapid yet reliable solutions and embracing a DevOps way of working to deliver digital solutions.

This is an initial 6 Month contract with a view to extend offering attractive daily rates. If you’re experienced across the insurance/ financial services space and are looking for your next senior role then this will be a great position for you!


Key Responsibilities:
  • Analysing, designing, and coding the solution and providing support for solutions and other applications and being accountable for the same
  • The provision of strong technical expertise and leadership by building and sharing in-depth technical and business knowledge
  • The provision of robust design solutions that are of exceptional performance and quality
  • To help define lean processes, practices and standards and ensuring design solutions adhere to these through reviews
  • Managing expectations of stakeholders
 
Key Skills Required:
  • Java, Spring boot,
  • Source control, container, orchestration such as Docker, Rancher,
  • Continuous delivery using Jenkins & pipeline plugin or similar
  • Microservices, a RESTful approach using JSON, SOAP, AWS
  • Minimum 5 years development experience with 3+ years building enterprise scale Java solutions preferred
  • Experience working in agile, lean, DevOps and cross functional teams
