We have an exciting Senior Internal Audit position available within a local Government agency based in Sydney, NSW.

This position will be responsible for managing operational risk-based audits, regulatory audits and compliance audits across the business with exposure to some specialised audits (for e.g. ESG) and risk assurance work.

The successful incumbent for this position will enjoy extensive stakeholder engagement, thus it's ideally suited for someone with excellent communication and strong interpersonal skills.

The position will enjoy a hybrid working schedule with a lot of flexibility. The successful incumbent will form part of an inclusive and culturally diverse team that reports to impressive leaders and mentors.

Qualifications & Experience Required:
  • Qualified or part qualified CA / CPA / ACCA / CIA OR Degree with 4-6 years' Internal Audit experience in industry or chartered.
  • Experience gained within any state, federal or local government entity in Australia is highly advantageous, however strong exposure in other industry sectors also welcome.
  • Superior communication and people skills.
  • Adaptable, self-directed and a strong team player.
  • Able to work independently or within a team environment.
  • Must have Australian Citizenship, this is Non-Negotiable.
