Our client is a financial services organisation with a focus to transform the way they deliver excellence and innovation.    We have a need for a Senior Business Analyst to deliver excellence across regulatory obligations and banking products and services that will undergo a new and exciting uplift within a fast-paced program environment offering a permanent salary of up to $135,000+Super.

Reporting into the Lead BA, your key responsibilities as the Senior Business Analyst will include:

  • Working with stakeholders to elicit, analyse, communicate and validate requirements for changes to business processes, policies, information and systems
  • Defining and managing the requirements through the delivery lifecycle to meet business needs
  • Providing and directing recommendations for process re-design and improvements and business solutions, enabling changes to processes, policy and/or information that support Westpac to achieve targeted business outcomes and deliver business value
  • Gather artefacts from key stakeholders and groups that meet the program evidence requirements.
  • Elicit, document and follow up on key information and actions from workshops and meetings to monitor delivery of agreed outcomes.
  • Ensure aligned prioritisation of effort and stakeholder engagement with the small delivery team.
  • Provide input into / author status updates and relevant governance artefacts.
  • Processes requiring documentation of the current ‘As-Is’ and future ‘To-Be’ processes, which form the basis for design and improvements.
  • Investigate impacted business areas, processes, and data.
  • Recommend solutions that enable the organisation to achieve the targeted business outcomes and deliver business value.
  • Prepare business impact and risk assessments for the proposed change and/or recommended business solution.
  • Plan, estimate and report on Business analysis activities.
To be considered for this opportunity, you will possess the following skills / experience:
5+ years of business process improvement/re-engineering, system functional / non-functional analysis experience and business case preparation experience.
  • High level of competency working in the different BABOK areas including Elicitation, Requirements Lifecycle Management, Strategic Analysis, Requirements Analysis and Design Definition, Solution Evaluation.
  • Hands on Agile SCRUM experience, including writing user stories and facilitating/participating in all SCRUM ceremonies.
  • Facilitation of business solution workshops involving participants from senior management to business users.
