Our client,  a leading NSW Government Department based in the CBD are looking for a People and Culture Business Partner to join their team on an initial 12 Month contract.
There is high potential for the role to go on long term.
 
The People and Culture Business Partner plays a key role in supporting the development of strategies, policies and initiatives appropriate to the current and future needs of the organisation
 
Day to Day Duties:
 
Build and maintain relationships by liaising, consulting and negotiating with internal and external stakeholders to identify key people issues and provide effective solutions.
  • Support the People & Culture Manager in developing a people strategy that aligns to the overall organisations objectives.
  • Provide expert and considered advice to the leadership group and other stakeholders on a range of people related matters to inform people management planning and decision making.
  • Develop or contribute to the development of initiatives, programs, policy and procedures to ensure consistency, best practice and the achievement of people related organisational strategic goals.
  • Educate senior managers on workforce matters to promote and encourage positive workplace culture that enhances wellbeing of staff and facilitates optimal organisational performance and productivity.
  • Promote continual improvement and focus on superior service by establishing and reviewing performance indicators and relevant reporting systems.
In order to be eligible for this role, you will have:
  • A tertiary qualification that includes a P&C discipline, or relevant, equivalent professional experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in a P&C role, including project planning and implementation experience. (ideally in a Government Department)
  • Strong communication skills and ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels.
