About the role
As a Principal Data Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, building, and optimising the client’s data infrastructure. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable data solutions. Your expertise will be critical in architecture and implementing data pipelines, optimising data warehousing solutions, and ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our data infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Extensive experience with AWS services, including but not limited to S3, Redshift, Glue, Athena, and EMR.
- Proficiency in SQL for data manipulation and querying.
- Strong knowledge of DBT Core for modelling and transforming data.
- Expertise in designing and building data warehousing solutions.
- Experience with Databricks for big data processing and analytics.
- Proficiency in Python for scripting and automation.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
