Our client a Leading NSW Government Department are looking for a Senior Policy Advisor to join their team until the end of June 2021.
 
This role reports to the Associate Director and is responsible for implementing projects to support the Respond, Recover and Reform aspects of the economic response to the COVID-19 pandemic as well as other strategic initiatives across government.
 
In addition, the role is required to assist teams within the department and across government to provide high quality advice, evaluation and analysis to support government decision making, policy development and implementation.

In order to be eligible for this role you will have:
  • Strong understanding of economic/fiscal/policy advice
  • Previously experience working in a Government Department is highly desirable 
  • Demonstrated experience in project management and stakeholder engagement
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate policy and program analysis clearly and effectively (verbally and in writing)
  • Demonstrated ability and desire to work collaboratively as part of a team and strong interpersonal skills
  • Sound understanding of public sector financial management practices, policies and governing legislation
  • Sound understanding of best practice in risk analysis and mitigation
