My client is looking for an Oracle Technical Specialist to join their team. As a key member of their Application Development team, you’ll design and deliver complex systems architecture, provide expert technical guidance, and ensure our platforms run efficiently and securely, aligned with strategic roadmaps and future needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Oracle Inventory & Purchasing for Supply Chain Management.
  • HR/Payroll systems including rostering.
  • Recruitment and Onboarding platforms.
  • Enterprise Systems Integration: Implementing and maintaining platforms like Taleo, Oracle Fusion, and Oracle eBusiness Suite across domains such as Finance, HR, Payroll, Supply Chain, and Performance Management.
  • Custom Application Development: Building bespoke modules to address unique challenges, including procurement product tools, payment portals and pathology billing systems.
  • Mobile and Web Solutions: Leading development of applications for workforce management, vaccination tracking, security and authentication, and facility for remote overbed camera monitoring.
  • Full-Stack Expertise: Operating across the entire technology stack using open-source frameworks and cloud infrastructure to deliver secure, scalable, and innovative solutions.
Must have skills and experience:
  • Oracle
  • Supply Chain/Procurement and Inventory
  • Experience in government, health, or financial applications
  • API integration/ REST APIs
  • Unit Testing with Jest
  • NSW Government experience
Additional techical skills highly regarded:
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in the use of JavaScript frameworks (React/ Angular/NodeJS/ExpressJS), web technologies (HTML/CSS/XML/etc.), and programming languages (Java/Python/Groovy/etc.) in building web applications, ReactNative and Ionic frameworks for mobile app development including publishing apps in Google PlayStore, App Store Connect, and via MDM.
  • Experience and knowledge in web services and middleware technologies including AWS cloud technologies (e.g. Elastic Containers)
  • Experience implementing authentication and authorization (OAuth2, PKCE, SAML) and implementing API security, JWT, token-based authentication, and aligning with security standards in web/mobile/backend components when collaborating with security teams during penetration and other security testing activities.
  • Demonstrated experience in CI CD pipelines, version control (git, azure) and agile methodology
  • Strong understanding of accessibility coding standards and inclusive design to ensure products will meet the organisations standards.
Nice to have:
  • Experience in Oracle development tools and frameworks like Oracle PL/SQL, APEX, ADF, BIP.
  • Experience in government, health, or financial applications, including integrating with third party authentication platforms providers.
  • Business area knowledge on Inventory and Procurement, Recruitment and Onboarding.
  • Knowledge of database design and its impact on performance and demonstrated experience working with simple to large and complex databases (Oracle, DynamoDB) and an understanding of server infrastructure.
  • Experience in leading and mentoring a team of Software Engineers and Applications Developers in order to design and implement high availability web applications and mobile apps.
