Machine Learning Engineer

The Position:

As a Machine Learning Engineer, you will partner with Data Scientists, taking proof of concept models and turning them into production ready systems; build data pipelines to move and transform large volumes of data and develop more advanced recommendation algorithms.

Your Responsibilities:

• Commercial experience as Machine Learning Engineer with experience of writing production code for ML applications

• Have the ability to write clean, testable Python code

• Experience developing scalable ML pipelines

• Partner with internal stakeholders on projects to identify and articulate opportunities, see beyond the data to identify solutions that will raise the bar for decision making.

• Collaborate with cross-functional data and product teams across business applications to access and manipulate data, explain data gathering requirements, make recommendations, display results, and build efficient and scalable analytics solutions.

• Knowledge of any of the following would be a bonus but not essential: Python, Scala, AWS, Spark, Hadoop, knowledge graphs, real-time data processing.

Your Background:

• Degree in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Quantitative Finance, Math, Statistics, Physics or a related Engineering degree.

• Experience with Machine Learning, Statistics, or other data analysis tools and techniques.

• Experience with statistics methods such as forecasting, time series, hypothesis testing, classification, clustering or regression analysis.

• Experience writing testable code and shipping code into production.

• 4+ years of related industry experience in the data science domain

• Development experience in a programming language, Python is strongly preferred

• Expertise in SQL and knowledge of cloud data environments e.g., AWS
