A fantastic opportunity to join a leading Financial Services group as their in-house GST Tax Manager.  Take ownership of end-to-end GST governance, compliance, and reporting. You’ll lead assurance reviews, oversee BAS submissions, respond to auditor and ATO enquiries, and champion improvements in tax technology and processes. This role offers the opportunity to work across complex financial services structures, including corporate entities, super funds, and managed investment schemes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and deliver GST assurance programs, including controls testing
  • Lead GST reporting processes and approve BAS submissions
  • Coordinate responses to internal/external audit and ATO reviews
  • Drive enhancements in GST-related systems and reporting processes
  • Lead and mentor one direct report

What We’re Looking For:
  • 6+ years' experience in tax governance and compliance, with at least 3 years focused on GST
  • In-house tax experience highly regarded
  • Experience working for a prominent professional services firm (open to either Big 4 or Top 10 CA firm) with direct exposure to Indirect Taxes (GST, BAS etc)
  • Strong skills in GST accounting, risk management, and process governance
  • Proficiency in financial software and Power BI, nice to have
  • Excellent stakeholder and project management skills
