This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing and expanding Financial Services group. As the Internal Audit Executive Manager you will work alongside the IT EM, reporting to the CAE, whilst leading a team of staff. You will attend Sub - Committee and ELT meetings and be a guest attendee at the BARC meetings. The mandate of this position is the timely execution of the audit plan, improving the quality of audits delivered and leading  Audit Managers and Snr Auditors.

In addition you will take responsibility for the following;
  • Ensure the continued development of Internal Audit processes and reporting are executed in an effective manner.
  • Timely and effective delivery of the annual Audit Plan.
  • Identification of key risks across all the operations and mitigating these.
  • Introduction and development of a “centre of excellence” through automating process, redesign audit reports, executive summaries and introducing of overall “modern” audit solutions.
  • Manage and negotiate the organisation’s external relationships with third party service providers.
  • Manage, develop and motivate a team of professional staff.
The ideal candidate will be CIA / ACCA / CISA / CA / CPA or similar qualified and have gained internal audit experience from the Financial Services industry. You could have gained experience in the Retail / BB or Commercial Banking / Wealth / Super / Insurance or other sectors. You will display natural leadership skills with a focus on driving change and challenging the “status quo”.  Candidates currently in Operational Risk positions (past Audit) or at Senior Manager and above level in Chartered with FS experience will be considered.

It is essential that you have a strong command of English, translating to above average report writing and communication skills. This position will expose the successful candidate in driving genuine strategic change. Superb long term career prospects are on offer.

This position offers great flexibility with WFH up to 3 days per week. We will consider a 2024 start.
