Our client, a leading NSW Government Department are looking for a Personal Assistant/Executive Assistant to join their team on a 6-month contract basis.
Role title: Business Support Officer /EA /PA Start Date: ASAP End Date: December 2024 (possible extension) Location: Macquarie Park NSW 2113 Daily Rate: Up to $400 + super Hybrid: Yes Hours of Work: 8 hours per day /40 hours per week
Purpose of the role
This position will be working to assist the Corporate IT CIO and leadership team, managing diaries, mailbox, and other tasks.
Key accountabilities
Provide business and operational support, including monitoring and reporting on business plans, milestones, and deliverables, to ensure time, cost and quality indicators are in line with approved Business plans.
Update and collate documentation and records regarding relevant issues, policies, and practices to ensure the delivery of business complies with relevant legislation and frameworks.
Undertake basic research and analysis in assigned Business areas and contribute to the preparation of briefs to support informed decision making and planning.
Assist the team to complete tasks and implement business plans to ensure agreed outcomes are achieved.
Communicate with relevant stakeholders to provide updates regarding status and implementation issues.
Provide a range of secretariat and administrative services, including coordinating committee meetings and preparing papers, to support the Chief Information Officer (CIO) and branch leadership team.
This position will be working to assist the Corporate CIO and leadership team, managing diaries, mailbox, and other tasks as described above.=
Key challenges
Delivering multiple support activities in line with agreed standards and objectives, given tight deadlines and competing demands and priorities.
Providing a high quality and confidential and administrative service to the CIO, branch leadership team and key branch team members.
Understanding critical or politically sensitive issues which may require the immediate attention of the principal manager or other senior managers.
Essential requirements
Previous Government experience is required for the role.
Highly organised
Excellent communicator (written and verbal)
Attention to detail.
Ability to work in an agile environment with tight delivery timeframes.
Experience with supporting an Executive or leadership team.
