Our client, a leading NSW Government Department are looking for a Personal Assistant/Executive Assistant to join their team on a 6-month contract basis.

Role title: Business Support Officer /EA /PA
Start Date: ASAP
End Date: December 2024 (possible extension)
Location: Macquarie Park NSW 2113
Daily Rate: Up to $400 + super
Hybrid: Yes
Hours of Work: 8 hours per day /40 hours per week

Purpose of the role

This position will be working to assist the Corporate IT CIO and leadership team, managing diaries, mailbox, and other tasks.

Key accountabilities
  • Provide business and operational support, including monitoring and reporting on business plans, milestones, and deliverables, to ensure time, cost and quality indicators are in line with approved Business plans.
  • Update and collate documentation and records regarding relevant issues, policies, and practices to ensure the delivery of business complies with relevant legislation and frameworks.
  • Undertake basic research and analysis in assigned Business areas and contribute to the preparation of briefs to support informed decision making and planning.
  • Assist the team to complete tasks and implement business plans to ensure agreed outcomes are achieved.
  • Communicate with relevant stakeholders to provide updates regarding status and implementation issues.
  • Provide a range of secretariat and administrative services, including coordinating committee meetings and preparing papers, to support the Chief Information Officer (CIO) and branch leadership team.
  • This position will be working to assist the Corporate CIO and leadership team, managing diaries, mailbox, and other tasks as described above.=
Key challenges
  • Delivering multiple support activities in line with agreed standards and objectives, given tight deadlines and competing demands and priorities.
  • Providing a high quality and confidential and administrative service to the CIO, branch leadership team and key branch team members.
  • Understanding critical or politically sensitive issues which may require the immediate attention of the principal manager or other senior managers.
 
Essential requirements
  • Previous Government experience is required for the role.
  • Highly organised
  • Excellent communicator (written and verbal)
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in an agile environment with tight delivery timeframes.
  • Experience with supporting an Executive or leadership team.
