About the role
The Enterprise Data Lead is responsible for overseeing the enterprise-wide data architecture and governance across the organisations IT landscape. This role is pivotal in designing and implementing robust, scalable data solutions that support the Investments business and other corporate functions. A key focus of this position is to define, lead, and enforce the data governance framework, ensuring the availability of trusted, high-quality data for informed business decision-making.
This individual will collaborate with stakeholders across the organisation to align data strategy with business goals, drive data management best practices, and enable the effective use of data as a strategic asset.

What's Required
The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or a related field.
  • At least 7+ years of experience in data governance, data engineering, and data modelling/design in a medium size, complex IT environment.
  • Proven track record in implementing data products and data management services, preferably in the finance or investment sector.
  • Deep knowledge of conceptual data modelling and design for various architecture patterns (I.e. centralised and de-centralised)
  • Hands-on experience with SQL (databricks and MS products, or similar) and reporting tools (Power BI)
  • Hands-on experience with integrations: batch, near real-time and STP
  • Hands-on experience with Data Quality Controls, Data Cataloguing and data lineage
  • Strong background in cloud data platforms, particularly Azure.
  • Data Governance tool, desirable
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to foster a collaborative, team-based culture with both internal and external colleagues.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on risk management and mitigation.
