I am currently working with a Big 4 Bank and looking for an experienced data steward/data governance analyst on a permanent basis. - the role will require the Data Governance Analyst to assist with the roll out of the Data Governance Process.
 
The role would best align to applicants that can operate within a fluid environment (non-regulated), work as part of a small team, has a flexible approach, and enjoys shaping Data Governance solutions and embraces Data Governance challenges.
 
The Data Governance Analyst will work closely with internal teams across Architecture, Business Analysis & Technical teams to ensure the Data Governance processes, standards and solutions designed/built are implemented successfully to achieve the required business outcomes - specifically in the areas of Data Management & Data Quality. We are also looking for a hybrid candidate that has some experience with incident/service management experience. This is not a hands on role.

Skills / Experience Required:
 
  • Data Governance processes - covering Data Management principles, capabilities, and Data Governance best practices.
  • Governing the implementation of a Data Governance roadmap.
  • Experience with CPG235
  • Data related regulatory requirements - knowledge of emerging trends & issues.
  • Reference Data - Data Quality knowledge - Data Compliance - Data Management.
  • Data Management process and solutions experience.
  • Change Management concepts & strategies
  • ITIL service management experience is a big plus 
  • Presenting Data Governance updates to Change Advisory Boards etc.
  • Act as an advocate for Data Governance & Data Steward.
  • Able to measure the effectiveness of Data Governance processes.
  • Desirable to have experience of Data Governance across - ERP & HR related systems.
  • Strong interpersonal skills - able to negotiate and mediate.
  • Excellent communication skills (both written & oral English) - present at both technical and non-technical level.
  • Able to take ownership combined with a strong work ethic.
  • Cultural awareness.
