Role Title:
Our client a leading NSW Government Department are looking for an Asset Management Compliance and Risk Specialist to join their team on a 12 month contract (based between home and Burwood) with potential for an extension.
As a member of the Asset Management team, this role will contribute to the efficient and effective management of the Telecommunications portfolio of assets by establishing the Asset Management compliance and risk management processes and practices to ensure the agency remains aligned to government policy, statutory and regulatory requirements identified through the Asset Management Framework.
Key Accountabilities
Manage and maintain the Asset Management System risk and compliance management framework to ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory, legislative, and government policy requirements.
Identify and analyse emerging risks and/or threats associated with the organisations activities and recommend mitigation, controls, and/or elimination strategies through management, policy or systems development/ improvements based on their asset portfolio.
Consult with internal stakeholders to identify, measure, assess, manage, monitor, and control risks associated with the Organisations Asset Management System.
Take responsibility for the design, implementation, auditing, and training of programs, policies, and practices to ensure that all business units comply with federal, state, and local legislative requirements.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Work with the internal audit and Risk and Compliance teams to create an Annual Audit Plan,
Undertake regular meetings, reporting and monitoring of any non-conformance's or breaches against the Organisations requirements and advise management where these actions are required.
