Are you ready to step into a strategic leadership role in Technology Risk?
This exciting Technology Risk Director position is a two (2) year max term contract and can be extended. Join this prominent Financial Services group and be part of their Line 1 Technology Risk team. Some details:

🔍 About the Position:
- This position will suite an experienced risk and compliance leader with a strong background in either Line 1 and/or Line 2 operational risk positions within the Financial Services sector.
- Proven subject matter expert in technology and cyber risk, including risk in change initiatives with a demonstrated ability to build capability across business units through strategic learning and development programs.
- Skilled in fostering a strong risk culture and enhancing risk management practices across large, complex organizations.
- Extensive experience leading and mentoring teams of risk professionals, with a focus on capability uplift, professional growth, and alignment with enterprise risk objectives.
- Successfully designed, built, and implemented enterprise-wide risk and compliance frameworks, providing tailored coaching and training to ensure practical adoption and ongoing maturity.
- Deep understanding of enterprise-wide risk management frameworks, policies, and regulatory standards in banking or similarly regulated environments.
- Monitor compliance with APRA CPS 234 and drive alignment with CPS 230.
- Actively engage with C-suite stakeholders to influence risk-aware decisions.
- Drive uplift of risk capability and culture across tech and data domains.
- Lead, mentor, and grow a small team of high-performing risk professionals.

👤 About You
We're seeking a strategic, curious, and forward-thinking leader who thrives in dynamic environments.
Professionals at Associate Director or Director level in Consulting or from Professional Services in Technology Risk are also strongly encouraged to apply.
Past experience gained in Technology Risk L1 or L2 / Cyber or Transformation Risk, or background in IT Audit.
Degree / CISA / CISM / CISSP / CRISC or other qualifications advantageous.

What sets you apart:
The ideal candidate will be a proven people leader and will have worked in uplifting / bedding down or leading transformation in Technology Risk. You will have strong negotiation, conflict resolution, and problem-solving capabilities and be experienced in engaging with C-Suite stakeholders and influencing strategic decisions across business lines and support functions.
