Our client a Leading NSW Government Department are looking for a Senior Manager Assurance to join their Alexandria  team on a  12 month contract with potential for  an extension.
The Systems Development Assurance Officer is responsible for ensuring adequate systems and procedures are developed, implemented and maintained for Customer Operations Directorate to ensure business effectiveness and regulatory requirements are met. The role is responsible for the development of policies, frameworks and procedures to implement a consistent approach throughout the Directorate and minimise risks across the business.

Key deliverables
  • Develop a robust, scalable framework to ensure assurance system design and development activities are conducted within a defined process method to reduce risk and ensure consistency across Customer Operations.
  • Promote a culture of system approach, process effectiveness, assurance and compliance as part of day-to-day operations.
  • Review customer, industry and regulatory changes and requirements and incorporate requirements into the customer operations business systems to ensure compliance across Customer Operations.
  • Identify process inefficiencies resulting in additional operating costs and risks and develop solution focused action plans to implement across Customer Operations to improve business outcomes.
Essential Skills / Requirements
  • Exceptional knowledge and understanding of developing systems and processes, auditing and managing compliance to relevant legislative requirements including safety requirements and Train Working Operations procedures.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct performance analysis, review the effectiveness of systems and processes and develop reports resulting in practical recommendations for improvement.
  • Tertiary qualifications in management systems, assurance or relevant business discipline.
  • Experience in developing and implementing business processes in a large complex organisation.
