Location: Sydney

Our client, a leading NSW Government Department are looking for a Spokesperson to join their team on a 5 month contract basis.

Your responsibilities
  • Work as part of the Customer Journey Communications team delivering customer focused real-time traffic and transport information to the media and public.
  • You’ll also support the branch in responding to tight deadlines and managing a quick turnaround of information.
  • This will be a fixed five month only long service leave contract working rostered shift work hours Monday to Friday (early morning, 6am start) and act as a 24-hour on call contact on some weekends.
  • Be highly organised with proven experience working in a media newsroom or representing an organisation on live radio.
  • Be confident in your ability to provide ongoing, timely, accurate information to the media, internal and external stakeholders with a strong attention to detail.
Experience:
  • Be resourceful in your approach to overcome challenges and seek information, 
  • Be a high-performing collaborative worker with excellent communication (written and oral) and an ability to build rapport easily.
  • Previous experience within Media, Radi or Public relations
