My client, a leading Financial Services group, is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Tax Accountant with a strong background in indirect tax compliance and reporting to join their Group Tax team. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, providing exposure to complex tax matters across multiple jurisdictions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the preparation and review of indirect tax (GST/FBT/Stamp Duty) returns, ensuring compliance with local tax laws and regulations.
  • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual indirect tax reporting processes.
  • Liaise with external advisors and tax authorities on compliance-related matters.
  • Contribute to the implementation and enhancement of indirect tax controls, systems, and processes.
  • Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess potential impacts on the business.
  • Assist with tax audits and queries from regulatory authorities.
  • Partner with finance and business teams to ensure accuracy of tax data and reporting.
About You
  • Professional qualifications (CA, CPA, CTA, or equivalent) are highly regarded.
  • Proven experience in indirect tax compliance and reporting, ideally within a large corporate, financial services, or professional services environment.
  • Strong technical knowledge of GST legislation and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with high attention to detail.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
